🤔👀 FAQs

Who can apply for the case competition?
Anyone currently studying at a university in Australia! This case competition is a National initiative, meaning all applicants will be accepted as long as they are currently studying and based in Australia (you do not need to be a part of an ACYA university chapter to apply!).

I don't have any case competition experience, will this be too hard for me?
Don't worry - this case is designed to be accessible, and cater to students of all levels of experience! Our case booklet will offer lots of details on how best to approach the case and develop your solutions with your team. And of course, you can always email us! (president@acya.org.au)

Do case competition submissions need to be in English?
Yes, all submissions need to be in English for consistency in grading and judging.

What's in it for me?
Case competitions are an amazing way to enrich your university experience. They allow you to develop fundamental professional skills that you can't learn directly through your degree, while building out your extracurricular experiences and setting you up for success early into your professional or academic career. They offer a platform for you to connect directly with industry, growing your professional network and creating a range of career development opportunities (e.g. graduate roles and internships). You'll also meet a bunch of amazing peers and make some new friends along the way.

Want to be part of a team?
If this is your first case competition, or you don't have friends around who are interested in joining the competition, don't stress! We can help you form a team with other like-minded students! We welcome you to compete and make new friends while you are at it!

💥 Heat Rounds

This first submission will be reviewed internally by the ACYA National team through a rigorous scoring process, and outstanding applications will be put forward to the Semi-finals.

✨ Semi-finals

Successful teams will have 2 weeks to further develop their solutions, and prepare for an online presentation to an expert judging panel, consisting of industry experts and professional consultants who will stress test your team's solution.

🏆 Finals

Finalist teams will be flown to Melbourne (accommodation and flight expenses covered), to compete against other teams in front of an expert judging panel - with prizes up for grabs!

🤵👩‍💼 Networking Evening

The finals will be followed by a networking dinner, providing case participants the opportunity to meet with the industry experts and professional consultants from the judging panel, and other case partners!
