In December 2024, we were pleased to announce the launch of the inaugural edition of ACYAWN's Publication. You can explore the full publication here.
This first edition, focused on Women in Australia-China Careers, marks an important milestone for our community as we explore the diverse and impactful roles women are playing in the evolving Australia-China landscape.
The publication features in-depth interviews with remarkable women across a wide range of sectors, including international trade, finance, education, healthcare, consulting, and social impact. Among the contributors are Stephanie Smith, an Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner based in Shanghai, offering insights into international trade and investment; Lindy Chen, a seasoned expert in international trade and a prominent figure in the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) and the Australia Blockchain Alliance; and Deborah Zhang, past ACYA National president, high school teacher, and executive at the public health not-for-profit CHASE.
Additionally, we had the privilege of speaking with panelists from our Women in Australia-China Careers event, including Gabi Powell Thomas, Emma Pitt, and Daisy Wu. These inspiring women offer invaluable guidance, career insights, and reflections on their journeys in the Australia-China space.
The purpose of this publication is to bridge the information gap for female students and young professionals, providing them with practical advice, career insights, and a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges in this unique field. We aim to provide fresh perspectives and inspire the next generation of women looking to make an impact in the Australia-China relationship.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the contributors who shared their stories and expertise, and to the ACYAWN team for their dedication in bringing this publication to fruition. We are proud to present this first edition and look forward to the continued growth of ACYAWN’s publications in the future.
