ACYA - Publications Officer

A Publications Officer is an appointed position on the ACYA National Executive and is a member of ACYA's Publications Team reporting to the Publications Manager.

Publications Officers are primarily responsible for supporting the development of key documents such as delegate handbooks and annual prospectus. Officers are additionally responsible for developing event bulletins with which to promote and summarise ACYA activities. Their objective is to maintain ACYA's corpus of media and internal documents.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Copywriting event summaries and bulletins for the website and social media;
  • Co-developing critical ACYA publications such as the prospectus and delegates handbook;
  • Help manage the ACYA website's content;
  • Help manage the ACYA National LinkedIn account;
  • Help manage the ACYA National WeChat account; and
  • Conduct interviews with relevant team members and delegates for publications.

Requirements

  • Time commitment of ~3-4 hours/week;
  • Ability to work well within small teams;
  • Experience in copywriting and editing; and
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
