ACYA - China Secretary

The China Secretaries assist the Managing Director China in managing the strategy execution of ACYA’s China-based operations. The role involves assisting in the effective management of ACYA’s China chapters and operations, in line with organisational strategies and policies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Represent the ACYA National Executive to Chapter Presidents, as well as representing chapter concerns to the National President;
• Support the development of Chinese chapter events and ACYA's tentpole events such as ACELS and Game On!;
• Assist Chapters in handover processes;
• Support chapter grant acquittals; and
• Represent ACYA in public forums, when required.

Requirements

• Time commitment of ~3-5 hours/week;
• Approachable and able to provide constructive feedback;
• Experience on the leadership committee of an ACYA Chapter;
• Experience managing stakeholder relations and partnerships;
• Ability to work well managing small teams;
• Demonstrated event management experience; and
• (Optional but preferred) Experience managing across cultures, particularly with respect to the Australia-China relationship
