ACYA - Media Manager

The Media Manager is an appointed position on the ACYA National Executive and is a member of ACYA's Communications Team. The Media Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of ACYA's social media channels.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee social media operations in English and Chinese. These channels include Instagram, Xiaohongshu, WeChat, and others;
• Develop and design graphics and posters;
• Contribute to copywriting and captions;
• Co-develop the overall marketing strategy with the Communications Director;
• Recruit, lead, and develop the media team; and
• Represent ACYA in public forums, when required.

Requirements

• Time commitment of ~10 hours/week, aiming for regular posts throughout the week;
• Ability to work well managing small teams and long-term projects;
• Experience managing stakeholder relations and partnerships;
• Demonstrated understanding of social media engagement and how to foster online communities;
• Demonstrated experience in media and/or visual design (Digital Media experiences preferred); and
• (Optional but preferred) Experience managing across cultures, particularly with respect to the Australia-China relationship
